Dr. Naseer Dashti
Born in 1958 in the village of Kunchiti (Balochistan), the author, Dr. Naseer Dashti, is a writer on the culture, sociology, and history of the Baloch and Balochistan. A graduate in Medicine, he obtained his master’s degree in public health from the University of Leeds (UK) in 2000. In 2007, he finished a Ph.D. research degree in anthropology from the University of Greenwich (London). In 2008, after the banning of his two books, he fled Pakistan to escape persecution and settled in the United Kingdom.
Dr. Dashti had published six books on socio-political issues facing the Baloch in particular and south-central Asia in general. He is affiliated with Balochi Academy and Asaap Group of Publications, Quetta.
